Sora by Overdrive is an online extension of the school library that never closes. Participating school districts gain 24/7 access to a cooperative collection of eBooks and audiobooks. Participation in the basic regional shelf is offered at no cost as part of the state-funded School Library System service. To provide access to an even larger digital collection districts may choose to buy into the regional Advantage shelf. The cost to participate in the Advantage shelf allows the district librarian to purchase eBooks for the shelf to cooperatively develop a robust regional collection to support grades K-12.
