SLS Program Mini-Grant

Purpose: To provide school library outreach services to students, staff and community members outside of normal school hours. E.g., technology and electronic resources, parent involvement, preschoolers, reading, media, etc. Can be a one-time event or a series of activities.

Deadline: Rolling: First Friday of each month, until funds are expended.

SLS School/Public Collaboration Mini-Grant

Leveraging school librarians' relationships with their students to promote public library use, encourage literacy, and combat "summer slide." This grant, originally titled the "New Initiatives Grant," was first offered in 2018 with the support or CLRC & Mid-York Library System. 

Expand Their World Mini-Grant

SSL (NYLA) Conference Mini-Grant

Purpose: To assist a School Library Media Specialist in developing professional growth and leadership skills by attending a School Library Media-related conference sponsored by NYLA. This includes the SSL conference in the spring, and the Leadership Institute in the summer.

Deadline: One month before early bird registration deadline.

SLS Continuing Education Mini-Grant

Purpose: To assist a School Library Media Specialist in developing professional growth and leadership skills by attending a School Library Media-related conference (not hosted by NYLA.) This could include a national conference or a local conference not sponsored by NYLA.

Deadline: One month before early bird registration deadline, or as Coordinator deems appropriate.
