Common Core Kindergarten Math
Counting and Comparing NumbersVideo, Preschool/Kindergarten, 00:16:12, Wonderscape Entertainment, LLC, 2016
This program meets all of the Common Core kindergarten math standards for counting and comparing numbers. After viewing, kids will be able to identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, or equal to the number of objects in another group by using matching and counting strategies. They will also be able to compare two numbers between 1 and 10 presented as written numerals utilizing the symbols for greater than, less than, and equal to.On-screen multiple-choice reviews at the end of each segment reinforce important concepts and make learning fun.
Measurement and DataVideo, Preschool/Kindergarten, 00:18:33, Wonderscape Entertainment, LLC, 2016
This program meets Common Core kindergarten standards as it introduces the basic concepts of measurement and data. Kids will learn how to describe measurable attributes of objects, such as length or weight; specify several measurable attributes of a single object; directly compare two objects with a measurable attribute in common to see which object has more of/less of the attribute and describe the difference; and classify objects by attributes and count in each category.
Geometry: Learning Shapes, Volume 1Video, Preschool/Kindergarten, 00:14:57, Wonderscape Entertainment, LLC, 2016
This brand-new, high-definition program meets all of the Common Core kindergarten standards for geometry. Kids will learn how to identify shapes, both 2-D and 3-D, and understand the differences. Shapes are then related to everyday objects in order to be able to identify shapes in the world around us. Graphics, animation, and on-screen multiple-choice review questions reinforce key concepts and make learning fun.
Geometry: Learning Shapes, Volume 2Video, Preschool/Kindergarten, 00:10:34, Wonderscape Entertainment, LLC, 2016
This brand-new, high-definition program meets all of the Common Core kindergarten standards for geometry and builds upon the concepts introduced in Volume 1.Kids will learn how to identify shapes, both 2-D and 3-D, and understand the differences. They will also understand how smaller shapes can be combined to make larger ones. Graphics, animation, and on-screen multiple-choice review questions reinforce key concepts and make learning fun.
Algebraic ExpressionsInteractive, learning modules, Intermediate - Junior High, Learnetic, 2016
At the end of this activity, students should be able to: - form algebraic expressions - calculate their values - simplify like terms - simplify algebraic expressions - name algebraic expressions.
Middle School Common Core Math: Plane and Solid Geometry
Hidden Between: Real NumbersVideo, Primary - Junior High, 00:26:29, Apperson, 2013
This video uses a real world scenario to explore real numbers. We will begin to solve the problem: Are there always numbers between numbers?
Higher, Steeper, Faster!: Slope-InterceptVideo, Primary - Junior High, 00:26:05, Apperson, 2013
This video uses a real world scenario to explore slope intercept form. We will begin to solve the problem: Which roller coaster is faster?
High Grades: SlopeVideo, Primary - Junior High, 00:21:54, Apperson, 2013
This video uses a real world scenario to explore slope. We will begin to solve the problem: What does the 6% road sign mean?
Holy Cow!: Solving InequalitiesVideo, Primary - Junior High, 00:34:40, Apperson, 2013
This video uses a real world scenario to demonstrate how to solve inequalities. We will begin to solve the problem of: Do cows pollute?
Data AnalysisVideo, Senior High - College/Adult, 00:30:33, Media4Math, 2011
In 2008 many American banks began to fail, the stock market plunged, and the country went into a recession, all following default by record numbers of homeowners on their mortgages. Why did these loans suddenly become so difficult to repay? In this program data analysis is used to determine what made subprime mortgages capable of wreaking havoc on the economy. Also examined: mortgage rates for two applicants who have two different credit scores, and the decline in real estate values relative to the rise in adjustable rate mortgages. Exponential FunctionsVideo, Junior High - College/Adult, 00:19:05, Media4Math, 2011
Because of their dramatic changes in intensity from one point to another, earthquakes are an ideal example of exponential functions. A massive earthquake in southwestern China in 2008 caused an enormous amount of damage at its epicenter but much less at points farther away. This program compares quakes of various magnitudes that occurred in Sichuan Province to explain the difference between linear and exponential functions. The difference between magnitude and intensity, and their relation to each other, is also covered. Part of the series Algebra Applications. (20 minutes)

Venice has been prone to flooding for hundreds of years, but with the city sinking and sea levels worldwide rising, the situation in the 21st century is becoming dire. This program uses the design for a moveable floodgate, to be activated automatically when waters reach a critical level, to illustrate mathematical inequalities. Inequalities are also demonstrated by calculating the mpg of a hybrid and a gas-engine vehicle, factoring in both city and highway driving, to determine which is really more fuel efficient. Angles: The Trigonometry & Pre-Calculus Tutor SeriesVideo, Senior High, 00:46:25, TMW Media Group, 2008
This lesson introduces the important topic of trigonometric angles. Students are taught how to traverse the unit circle in degrees and radians and how to convert between these units of measure.
