Media Library Resources Presentation - Rome: Intro

Introduction

Time Allotment: 10 min

As an educator in the Rome City School District you have access to the Madison-Oneida BOCES Media Library. The Media Library collection consists of both physical and digital resources.

Instructions:

1.  The physical resources are the items that you can "physically" touch and when not borrowed are stored on shelves at the Center for Instructional Support at the Costello Building in Oneida. It isn't very convenient for you to visit and browse the collection, but you are always welcome to. You can even check out available resources and walk out the door with them the same day. It's a real library!

To make the Media Library more browsable online we have created the Media Library website. Visit it at www.moboces.org/media and poke around for a couple of minutes. It is currently under construction so it isn't 100% functional yet, but already there is a lot to see and more is coming soon.

2. Digital resources are things like streaming video, audio, eBooks, images, and more that can be accessed 24 hours a week, 7 days a week. The Media Library organizes digital resources from several different content providers.
