The ability to tell Sphero what to do is what makes it a truly powerful tool for teaching. The SpheroEDU app includes a special coding tool called Blocks. It uses a simple drag and drop interface that allows you to create JavaScript code by just arranging blocks.
1. Open the SpheroEDU app and connect your Sphero.
2. Click the Programs Icon on the bottom of the screen.
3. Click the + sign inside the circle in the bottom right corner to create a new program.
4. Click on Blocks and in the Name Your Program type MyFirstRoll. Click Create.
5. From the Movements menu on the bottom drag a roll block.
6. Take your Sphero over to the Practice Driving Area and code your roll block to stop as close to the finish line as possible. Unless you are super lucky this will require trial and error.
